Emergency School Closures

From time to time, circumstances beyond our control may mean that we need to close the school to keep everyone safe. This could be due to severe weather, such as heavy snow, strong winds, or flooding, or because of unexpected problems in the building, for example if the heating or boiler breaks down. In these situations, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils and staff is always our top priority.

We will only make the decision to close the school when it is absolutely necessary, and we will communicate any closures to parents and carers as quickly and clearly as possible.

Remote Learning

For short term school closures, parents can use your child’s creative homework activities, school reading book, your child’s individual online accounts (TTRS, Numbots, Phonics Hero, Nessy) and the Oak Academy website to provide your child with learning opportunities.

For longer term school closures (more than two days) the school will provide the following remote learning timetable. All the required information will be emailed home.
