Our Curriculum

At Bridgeway Federation, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum that is fully inclusive and meets the needs of all our children. Our curriculum is designed with our ethos, vision and values in mind, engaging and exciting children to learn through the delivery of creative, innovative and challenging learning opportunities.

At Bridgeway Federation we ensure that academic success, physical development, well-being and mental health are key elements within our curriculum that support the development of the whole child and promote a positive attitude to learning.

Our curriculum celebrates diversity and supports the children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, ensuring that children know how to make a positive contribution to their school and community. Children in our school are also given an opportunity to develop an understanding of global issues and how they can help make changes in support of these issues.

Children are taught the skills they need to become successful learners through the promotion of our leaning characteristics:

  • Determined

  • Problem solver

  • Creative

  • Team player

  • Independent

  • Curious

Children receive stickers as recognition for when they demonstrate these learning skills in school.

We also recognise children who are displaying many of our learning characteristics with the recognition of being ‘Marvellous’!

If you would like to know more about our curriculum please talk to your child’s class teacher or contact the office to be put in touch with a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
